Ania & Hakon

Ania came to me with an incredibly detailed plan. The vision was there, the suppliers were booked and her Excel sheets were ready. What they needed was someone who could take responsibility for bringing all those moving parts together — coordinating the suppliers, managing the timeline and solving anything that happened behind the scenes.The celebration took place at the historic Grand Hotel Sopot, just steps from the Baltic Sea. With the weather on our side, cocktail hour could take place as planned in the hotel gardens, before guests moved into the ballroom for dinner and the evening celebration.The elegant all-white design worked beautifully with the historic interiors of the Grand Hotel. Speeches and presentations brought plenty of emotion to the evening, while Ania and Hakon’s first dance opened the dance floor for the night.Later came one of Ania’s dreams — an evening sparkler moment — followed after midnight by something much more personal. She changed into the wedding dress her mother had worn on her own wedding day.For me, this wedding is also a perfect example of why even a couple who loves planning does not need to manage their own wedding day. Ania and Hakon had done an enormous amount of preparation themselves. My role was to take over when it mattered most — giving them the freedom to experience everything they had spent so much time creating.And that is often the real value of wedding coordination: not adding more to the plan, but making sure the couple no longer has to think about it.
